God has an answer…

Prophet Pastor Samuel A. Adegboyega was born into an Islamic cum idolatry home background and grew up in a polygamous set-up; as a result, his secular education suffered on account of lack. But God’s mercy saw him through even as a genius who courageously excelled to the first position at all levels of competitive academic and professional examinations.

In 1960, Adegboyega decided to change to a Christian name-Samuel, as he was preparing to enter secondary school. Coincidentally, he found a group of Christians baptising some people and he demanded that he be baptized, which they graciously did. He had not been attending any church and he had no Bible, not to talk of reading it. The baptism of that day still remains the seed of what is happening in his life and ministry today.

The change did not however connote an encounter with Christ. The old nature of committing sins still subsisted, in spite of the fact that he had started to attend a cathedral church in 1965.

In July 1967, Adegboyega had the real encounter with Jesus Christ, when the Holy Spirit spoke to him that he had been separated unto Christ for the salvation of his entire family and of millions of souls in the world. He was convicted by the Holy Spirit to publicly disgrace the sins in his life. He sprinkled Kerosene over the protective charms. As he was about to put fire on them, the Holy Spirit referred him to Neh. 10:29 and requested that he should bind himself with a curse to forsake, forever all the sins of his life. Adegboyega laid his hand on his head and swore to his own hurt that, if throughout his life, he should commit any of those sins, including adultery, fornication or charms, he should be roasted alive in physical born-fire.

Adegboyega does not also believe the excuse that a Man of God or even a true believer should stumble into sin because Satan pushed him into it. Stumbling into sin, to him is “nonsense”! He would normally refer to God’s word in II Cor. 5:17(KJV).

“Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new”

Adegboyega believes that a new man in Christ does not and must not commit sin. And since his conversion in 1967, and following his covenant with the Lord, divine health has been his portion over the years till date.

Divine courage propelled Pastor Adegboyega into the enviable status of a partner and Group Director of Administration of top rank in a reputable firm of Chartered Accountants in Nigeria from where the Lord “conscripted” him by divine call into full-time work of ministry.

His calling is most divine, after the order of prophet Jeremiah in the first chapter of the book and in verse 5 (KJV):

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew you: and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations”.

The power service ministry, evidenced by accompanying signs, wonders and miracles is the main thrust of Prophet Adegboyega’s calling. Adegboyega, like Apostle Paul, is an unyielding and unrepentant advocate of the power service ministry of the Lord’s work. I Cor. 2:4 (KJV).

“And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in a demonstration of the spirit and of power”

International exposure has propelled Prophet Adegboyega’s ministry beyond the shores of Africa. He preaches, teaches and features in international conferences and programmes from time to time.

Prophet Samuel Adegboyega is happily married to Comfort also a Pastor in the
ministry and they are blessed with children.
